My family (Rick, Shayla & Lukas) and I moved to Arizona in 2018 from Maryland. We found Light of Christ Church and fell in love with it immediately because it's all about Jesus and serving others.
God has really grown this ministry and I am so blessed to be a small part of it! I couldn't be more excited to see what He has in store for us as the school continues to grow.

Program Coordinator
Lauren Ritter
I’m Lauren! I am beyond blessed to say I am a wife of 10 years, mom of 2 beautiful girls and 1 loving little boy, and most importantly a child of God. I moved to Arizona from California in 2019, and fell in love with the slower pace of living. I am passionate about Early Childhood Education and a love for learning and Jesus through real life experiences. I love sharing these things with my family, church, and community around me. I am starting my homeschool journey with my family and we are all so excited. We especially love baking, sensory, science, and games of all kinds!

Music
Jennaya Monroe
I’m Ms. Jen! I’ve been singing, playing piano, and teaching music for over 25 years. I’m a wife and mom to four great kids. Music is one of the best tools to infuse scripture into our kids’ hearts and bring true joy into their lives. I’m excited to share my love with the LOC community.

Math / ELA Support
Amy Snitchler
My name is Amy Snitchler. I am passionate about helping our students grow and discover their potential. I enjoy teaching at Light of Christ Christian Academy, because it is a rewarding journey to help our future generation to know Jesus and His word. It is a blessing to be an educator, as I believe a quality education is an important part of a child’s foundation. Outside of school I like to bake, and try out new recipes with my family.

Art & Spanish & Science Teacher
Isabel Sesmas
My name is Isabel Sesmas, I was born and raised in Arizona.
I graduated summa cum laude from ASU Polytechnic with a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education. My experience has been teaching students in various grade levels in elementary classrooms, recreation classes, and Art/Spanish classes. In my free time, I enjoy traveling, tap dancing, creating art and spending time with my family and doggies.
I love teaching children. It is always amazing to see students learn new things and grow. It is a privilege to be teaching at Light of Christ.

Science Teacher
Hallie Donohue
My name is Hallie! My husband and I have three beautiful children (2 boys and a girl). I am a fourth generation native to Arizona. Education is a passion of mine. I have taught 2nd and 3rd grade, and was a school counselor at both the elementary and high school levels. After 13 years of teaching I was blessed with the opportunity to become a stay at home mom. My youngest son will be attending LOC preschool this year, and I will be homeschooling my daughter while my oldest son attends our neighborhood school. I believe every child has different learning needs, even within a family! I am new to the homeschooling community, and God has called me to share my experience and passion for learning with the LOC community!
